I am sure you can see how excited Louis was to be in his costume for Halloween. But he was comfortable outside. Once we got him inside it was to warm and he soon was back to his onesie. Halloween is going to be so much fun for next couple of years.

After Dark
Long Beach Museum Of Art had there AFTER DARK Event last night. It is a great time to enjoy this modern art museum without the need to keep your voices down. Cocktails,food, live band, outside and some very intriguing art. Pear anyone? (For anyone that has seen what I am talking about) what else could you ask for.... Pumpkin Season
On Sunday after a trying day on Saturday with the flooded garage. We went to Tanaka Farms with Mary's cousin Lisa and her family Steve and Aaron. Aunt Colleen came with us to get some fun in the pumpkin patch and relax. There was a Hay Ride and Pumpkin Cannon! I was able to have subjects and objects to focus on. Here a few of those shots.

Busted Pipe

4 years and still smiling
Mary has decide to keep me for another year. Last night we went to The Summit House where we had our reception. The food is so good. I think this was the first time Mary and I actually remember tasting the food without having to make decesions about what to serve and at the wedding. And at the wedding the food is for the guest not the bride and groom. I think this shot captures the moment. I think the softness really is important. ISO800 and F1.8 I really pushed the cameras limits to get this shot.

Stanwell
No secret from time to time I smoke a cigar. Smoking a pipe came along when a local cigar shop wanted to give me another option. Smoking a pipe is a ritual. It takes time to get the pipe seasoned and the ability to leave it sitting for 20 minutes and allows you to relax before picking it up again and smoking without getting a match. This piece of briar is a favorite in the fall and winter on rainy and cold days. This is the 4th pipe I have owned and this one I like the most. it has some much character. I shot this on a wood table the pouch in the back is a leather tobacco pouch.

My best bud Josh is in from Arizona. It seems everytime Josh has gotten a vehicle I have taken photos of it. Josh is a mechanic and has a passion for custom cars. His Lexus is a work in progress and the idea of a photo shoot as a work in progress couldn't have been sweeter. A couple of dorks hanging out in the a parking structure taking photos of a car. The Stride
I learned a lot about running while shooting today. This stride and catching air is amazing to me. The Long Beach Marathon ran right by our house on Sunday. This determined runner was pretty far in front.

Turning 30 is an amazing time. Leslie's is learning that. First Babies at your birthday is okay. Little Lou and Leslie are hanging out prior to the Beer Fest Activities. Grammy made Lou's adorable outfit. Mary bought the boots. We really enjoyed our day. Happy Birthday Leslie.

October Night
We watched the Crushers pay softball this week. I had two great photos from Monday and I left this one off. I thought it was to good to be left out. Lighting on a field is so difficult to read. Light meter is useless. Manual Set Up and ISO 800 and some luck. Got some great shots.

Garden Chair
So the daily photo has been so much fun. Yesterday Becky my co worker said on your way home keep a look out for the purple chair on the side of the road. What a lucky find. Groom in waiting

It was a bad day for the daily photo. Nikon not charged (just enough to grab 3 shots) Forgot the point and shoot in the car, Flip not charged and the Iphone also not charged. Moral of the story when all else fails drink the wine and dance with your wife. What a great day.
