Finding time is a night time luxury as of late. I went out to shoot after the bambino took his 3 hour sleep. I was fooling around out on the beach in front of the house and since I haven't done a streaming tail light yet, I thought why not. There were actually a couple of shots from last night that could have made it to the blog but this one was the best. Based on the opinion of Becky and Eddie.

The excuses made my day. Our weekend ended with a little negotations and pool time. We then settled into a wonderful dinner and wine.

Lately getting out and shooting has to be on my way somewhere. I saw these white plumeria and the web and started shooting. It is almost as if the flowers are looking at the light.

James and Anthony or Jimmy and Tony depending on who you ask. Came to visit Louis. Boy are these boys growing fast. We had a great evening hanging out with the family.

When your wife asks you why you are standing on the coffee table and you are trying to explain I was changing the point of view. WOW! Does that not go over to well. But I like that you can tell how little Louis is. I need this shot every once and awhile to show his stages of growth. If Mary lets me.

So here is a Plumeria that bloomed over night. Beautiful.
BUT here is my RANT!!!!
I really need to get a point and shoot this Sony is AWFUL!!!! I can't seem to get a clear photo. This begs the question we discussed in the available light class is it better to have a shot or is it better to not take any shot. I am of the school that if you can take this picture with a better camera you should of had it with you. My Bad!!!! A Canon point and Shoot is in the near future.
Desaturated the colors not important to the image. I really like the pop of color.

So learning how to pan isn't going so well. But I am getting some amazing light effect. I am sure with more practice I will get better.

This is the best i could do with wrong lense and no flash. There was Tiki festival going on and this 11 year old was the finishing act of the show. He was really good.

Today we went out for Sushi. Mary has been waiting for Louis for many reasons but today I was glad that she finally able to fill a craving she has had for 9 months. SUSHI ! When I asked If I could take a picture at the restaurant they were very accommodating. All the Sushi Chef's moved out of the picture. I had to wait until they got back in the shot to get the effect I was drawn too.

With life changes out comes the flowers. I was very thankful the lilies haven't bloomed yet. I am highly allergic sneezes come on right away when they start to bloom. I love the smell and the look but my sinuses tell me otherwise.

While we are finally home and not just staring bland hospital walls. Getting out of the house was a luxury I didn't have today. So I Looked for something of interest to shoot in the house. I found it. With a little camera movement I got a great effect.

Bouncing Baby Boy

Louis James born 8/14/09 9:59 PM. My baby boy. Amazing! What a ride. The long wait is over the little and I mean little 6lbs. 5oz. 19" inches long. Strong as an OX and packed with energy. He was picking his head up right away and saying hello. We Had 18 family and friends outside waiting to see him. The doctor brought them all into the birthing room and we toasted champagne. The love our family and friends showed to us brings me the deepest joy.
Welcome Louis to a world filled with love.

Mary and I have started a new blog just for the baby. 365 days of our son.

With contractions getting me home very quickly. The Daily Photo was snapped from the roof top while I was doing some laundry. I thought for sure I would be going to the hospital in a few hours. Wow! when that turned into 7:00 AM the next morning. I knew I was going to have a long FRIDAY!!!!

This last run to Target to get supplies would be our last outing as Mary and I. How funny. My original thoughts were that going to to target seems to be turning into a weekly chore. Target list and Grocery list. I guess it was the same when my parents were caring for me but it was GEMCO, Sears, and Groceries.

With Lightroom I have been fooling around with color , saturation, split toninig, and blacks saved this piece of flat out nothing to something I can at least put up as a fill in. Yesterday ran away and this photo closest I could get to the daily photo for Tuesday.It is what I expect to see in the future if The Fifth Element turns out to be close to real life...

After a day of closet cleaning and such. Mary and I finally got out around 8:30 to go to the movies. Julie and Julia. It was a great film. So walking around the center in Hunting Beach I found some interesting sculptures. I loved the up lighting and started snapping away. I unsaturated the orange in the photo to give the sculpture its due.

You know those days when you wake up and wonder if you are dreaming the sounds in a your half awake mind. Friday was no exception. I could swear I was hearing the sound of a hot air balloon. Thank God! I went outside and found the kite festival on the beach had a hot air balloon being blown up. It was a good start to a Friday.

Matt had his 32nd birthday today. What a great party. Mustache Parties ROCK!!!! Andy here pulled out all the stops and i was able to get this great pose. I love pencil stache. I took home a trophy for best freestyle. "Everett Burnside" is a nickname given.
